Using Yotilla
This section explains how to build and manage your data warehouse using Yotilla.
Yotilla handles the whole process of modeling and deploying the data warehouse configuration. There are however two initial steps that must be done outside of Yotilla:
- Before you start building the data warehouse configuration you must set up the required users, roles, and privileges for Yotilla on the target database. For more information, see Prepare the Target Database.
- You must extract and load source data into a schema on the target system that will function as an external staging area. Yotilla will use this as a source system. For more information, see Data Flow.
All the subsequent steps, such as defining and mapping sources, managing business objects, creating the dimensional model, and deploying the data warehouse will be carried out using Yotilla. For more information about these steps, see The Yotilla Workflow.
