Administration

This section describes how to carry out system administration tasks in Exasol when installed as an application.

You can install Exasol as an application on Linux hosts running on hardware or on a cloud service such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The system requirements and procedures for installation and administration are basically identical regardless of which platform the Linux host is running on. If your system is hosted on a cloud service, you may also have to refer to the documentation from your cloud service provider for some configuration tasks such as network settings.
