Yotilla Portal
This section describes how to use the Yotilla portal, which is where you create and manage instances of the Yotilla application.
Create a Yotilla Instance
-
On the Yotilla portal, click on Add instance to add your first instance.
-
Enter a name for the new instance and choose the AWS region where it should be created.
If you are unsure, choose the AWS region that is geographically closest to where your target system is located.
-
Click on Create. The new Yotilla instance will be created on AWS.
In the portal, the instance will be in Provisioning state while it is being created. The creation process will take a few minutes to complete.
-
When the instance state has changed to Deployed, click on Go to instance to open the Yotilla application.
Manage Instances
You can create more instances as needed by clicking on Add instance. The total number of business attributes used in all instances is displayed at the top of the Portal page. The maximum number of business attributes that you can create on your instances is limited by your subscription plan. For more information, see Pricing and the Yotilla subscription page on AWS Marketplace.
Each instance shows its current state and the AWS region where it is deployed. To see more details about an instance, click on the icon.
Instance state | Note |
---|---|
Provisioning | Instance creation is in process and the application is not yet online. |
Deployed | The instance is running and the application is online. To open the application, click on Go to instance. |
Updating | The application is being updated. An update can take several minutes to complete. The application will be offline during the update. |
Error | The instance has an error that prevents it from being accessed. If the error persists, click on the Help menu for more assistance. |
Rename Instance
You can change the name of instances freely. Renaming an instance will not affect its operation.
To rename an instance, select Rename from the instance dropdown menu. In the dialog that opens, enter the new name, then click on Rename.
Delete Instance
To permanently delete an instance, select Delete instance from the dropdown menu. In the dialog that opens, enter the exact name of the instance to confirm that you really want to remove it, then click on Delete.
Deleting an instance will permanently delete all data in the instance. This operation cannot be undone.
The data in the data warehouse on the target system will not be deleted when you delete the Yotilla instance. The data will however no longer be updated, and you will not be able to connect to it using a different instance.
Monitor Usage
The current business attribute usage is shown on each instance, while the total usage for the account is shown in the portal header. To see details about the limitations and expiration date of the current subscription, click on Contract.
The attribute count is not immediately updated on the portal page when you deploy changes. To see when the attribute count for an instance was last updated, hover the cursor over the business attribute value.
For more information about subscription tiers and pricing, see Pricing and the Yotilla subscription page on AWS marketplace.
