HASHTYPE_TIGER
Purpose
This function computes a hash value by using the tiger algorithm (192 Bit).
Syntax
hashtype_tiger::=
Usage Notes
- Return values have data type HASHTYPE(24 byte).
- The data types of the input parameters are significant. That is why HASHTYPE_TIGER(123) is different to HASHTYPE_TIGER('123').
- Multiple input expressions are concatenated (in their internal byte representation) before the hash value is computed.
- The function returns NULL if all input expressions are NULL.
HASHTYPE_TIGER(c1,c2) is not similar to HASHTYPE_TIGER(c1||c2).
