Invoicing

This section describes how invoicing works for pay-as-you-go accounts in Exasol SaaS.

The following information is for pay-as-you-go accounts only. If you have a pre-commit pricing account with Exasol, contact your Exasol representative.

You will start with the SaaS Enterprise edition trial that provides 30 days or $500 credits worth of use, whichever is depleted first. You do not have to provide payment information during the trial period. Once the trial is over you will begin to pay the monthly charge for your chosen subscription.

Exasol SaaS determines monthly charges for all subscription levels based on the following factors:

Compute resource usage

The amount of time that each cluster spends in the Running state (compute time).

Compute time is billed in one-second increments, with a minimum of 60 seconds. Billing starts when the instance enters the Running state.

Storage usage

The average used storage space per month in GB for the given database on that day.

Network usage

The amount of data transferred out of the SaaS environment to either the public internet, a host in the same region, or a host in a different region.

To prevent unwanted charges for EC2 instance usage, stop clusters when they are not needed.

You will be invoiced at the end of each month. The payment date will be at the beginning of the following month. For example, if you use Exasol SaaS in October, you will receive an invoice at the end of October and the payment date will be in the beginning of November.
