System Limitations
This article describes limitations on the number of nodes and clusters that can be configured in Exasol.
To ensure maximum performance and efficiency, Exasol operates within an optimal range for the number of active nodes in a configuration. If a deployment or database configuration exceeds the optimal range, system startup is declined to maintain system stability.
-
When deployed as a Linux application installed on hardware or cloud instances, the optimal configuration allows up to 64 nodes in a single cluster.
-
In a native cloud deployment on AWS with support for multiple clusters, the optimal configuration allows up to 48 nodes across 3 clusters.
