Drivers and libraries

Learn about the drivers and libraries provided by Exasol for connecting with third-party tools.

Connecting to your Exasol database from a third-party tool requires that a driver is installed on the system running the tool. Some tools come with a pre-installed connector for Exasol. For other tools, you can download drivers and lbraries from the Exasol Download Portal.

The latest drivers are backwards compatible with all supported Exasol database versions. We strongly recommend that you always use the latest driver.

In Exasol SaaS you can use the Connect via tools wizard to download the latest JDBC and ODBC drivers.
