Issue

Database nodes running on the Azure Cloud platform occasionally crash and reboot when they experience specific system load profiles. From our initial assessment, this is believed to be an operating system issue that is occasionally triggered when a node that is relatively idle for longer periods of time is suddenly under high load due to an increase in database queries.

Potential Workaround

Due to the conditions under which this issue occurs, it is likely that reducing the amount of parallel connections to the database reduces the likelihood of this bug occurring.
