Currently, only top-level Samba shares can be used for archive volumes.

That is, if "share01" is a Samba share, "smb:////host.name/share01" can be used as the url of an archive volume (e.g. for backups), but "smb:////host.name/share01/subdirectory" cannot.

As a workaround a share that maps the subdirectory directly can be used.
