Starting with version 4.2.5 and up to version 5.0.21, the flag nocompression was set unconditionally on remote archive volumes based on SMB/CIFS when updating to a new software version. As such, new backups written to those volumes were written uncompressed, which could lead to higher disk space consumption.

Workaround: Remove this flag (if not required) after a software update.
