Description
Importing data using an error table can incorrectly throw an exception if the source data is thought to be UTF-8 data, but it actually is invalid UTF-8 data. Since the CSV_DATA column of the error table has UTF-8 encoding, inserting this data into the error table will cause an exception.
Example error:
Error: [42636] ETL-4101: Inserting data failed with error 'data exception - Invalid bytestream in write of column ERROR_TABLE.CSV_DATA'
If the source data is known to not be UTF-8, an exception is not thrown.
Workaround
Convert any invalid UTF-8 data into valid UTF-8 data.
Fix
The issue will be fixed such that invalid UTF-8 data is first converted into a valid format before inserting it into the error table.
