Exasol version 6.0 uses CentOS 6 as operating system.

Starting with Exasol database version 6.1.0, CentOS 7 will be used as operating system. This version provides new and better hardware and cloud support etc.

As there is no upgrade path from CentOS 6 to CentOS 7, updates to Exasol database version 6.1.0 will be different from the normal update procedure. For details, see SOL-604.
