Background
Exasol software runs inside software containers that could be accessed via c4.
Improvement
Starting with Exasol 8.29, the container that the Exasol software stack is running in may be automatically recreated on any update. This is done to ensure that all software shipped by Exasol can be updated.
Data and configuration that is performed via official Exasol configuration tools / APIs are preserved, but any manual modifications inside the container will be lost.
