Background
"Compile Time" in Exasol also includes any optimizations performed on the query graph to speed up execution later. Some of these optimizations dramatically increase in cost with query complexity.
Improvement
One basic optimization path has been improved, it is most visible when

Come together in a single query.
In some cases, this can reduce compile time by a factor of 7.
