Background
Exasol's remote archive volume functionality allows transfers to remote cloud storage providers to be resumed if the connection is interrupted.
Issue
This functionality was not working as intended for backups to Azure Blob storage. This resulted in backups failing when there was a network interruption or connection error during the transfer, even though the partial transfer could have been resumed.
Fix
When a connection gets interrupted during backup, the backup will no longer fail but retry automatically
Workaround
Restart backup completely
