NOW

Purpose

This function returns the current timestamp, interpreted in the current session time zone.

Usage notes

• The return value is of data type TIMESTAMP WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE.
• This function is an alias for CURRENT_TIMESTAMP.
• Other functions for the current moment:
  • LOCALTIMESTAMP
  • SYSTIMESTAMP
