Using Exasol Cloud Deployment Wizard

You can create a configuration for an Exasol cluster or single node system using Exasol's Cloud Deployment Wizard for public clouds. The wizard guides you through the sizing and configuration of the cluster using an Exasol standard Deployment Manager Template. After configuring your cluster you can download the pre-configured template and deploy it using Google Cloud Shell. All settings can be reviewed and customized in the Google Cloud Shell interface before deployment.

Prerequisite

  • You must have your account set up on Google Cloud Marketplace.
  • Enable the deployment manager API in the project where you want to deploy Exasol.
  • Ensure that you have sufficient quota for compute instances and storage (SSD persistent disk) required in the project.

Basic Mode

Do the following to use the wizard in Basic mode:

  1. Open Exasol Cloud Deployment Wizard in your web browser.
  2. Select your cloud platform.
  3. Select your region from the drop-down and click Continue.

  5. Select one of the following recommendations from System Recommendations:
    • Basic Configuration: Shows a minimum specification for you data size.
    • Balanced Configuration: Shows an average specification for you data size for good performance.
    • High Performance Configuration: Shows the best possible specification for you data size for high performance.

The above options are shown depending on your selection in Raw Data Size.
